They say everything is bigger in Texas, and this year’s Emerge Insight Tour in Dallas won’t hold back in following suit with the Lone Star state. On October 24th, 2019, the city will host an exclusive event where some of the transportation industry’s top names will join to share over fifty years of accumulated knowledge; a meeting of the minds to discuss trends and future technology in business.
The Quick Rundown
After breakfast, the first session will kick off with a FreightWaves Industry Update presented by Dean Croke, CIO of FreightWaves. Dean pioneered the deployment of the trucking industry’s first predictive models in the mid-2000s during his time as a founder at FleetRisk Advisors. His experience expands far beyond the boardroom, having covered close to 2 million miles as an over-the-road truck driver in Australia, as both company driver and owner-operator.
We’re excited to see you in Dallas on October, 24th.
Before lunch is served, sit in with industry vet Grant Crawford, President of Emerge, and former Vice President of FedEx Freight, as he shares his thoughts on the Future of Domestic Freight Spend. Having nearly three decades of experience, Grant, who was with FedEx Ground when it was just a startup back in 1991, no doubt has advice on how to take a company all the way from A to Z, without missing a letter in between.

Close out the morning with Julie Roehm, who is known for helping to resurrect the Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler brands, moving Chrysler from a loss of $6 billion to a profit of $2.5 billion. Thriving on tough problems she states, “nothing inspires me more than a transformation project.” Julie has earned a few titles throughout her journey including “Marketer of the Year” by BrandWeek, Brand Innovators “Top 50 Women in Brand Marketing”, and one of Working Mothers’ “Top 25 Women”.
Whether it’s networking with some of the most respected names in the industry or checking out some of the local attractions like the Dallas Arboretum And Botanical Garden’s Fall Festival, (which boasts a village made up of more than 90,000 pumpkins!) you can be sure to get your fair share of the biggest and the best in Texas this coming October.
